Chiropractic Adjustments

Provided to correct any misalignments of the spine using various chiropractic techniques. All of these methods are safe, comfortable, and effective to restore the spine to a more normal motion or position. When spinal function is improved, your health can improve too.

Physiotherapy

Ultrasound: utilized for it's penetrating heat, deep within the tissues and produces a mild sedative effect. It also introduces a micro massage within the tissue by breaking down scar tissue and reducing edema.

Interferential Electrical Stimulation: interferential modulated and

non-modulated frequencies that can vary from approximately 80 to 120Hz are considered most effective for acute pain, while lower frequencies of 3-5Hz or 2-10Hz are preferred for the treatment of chronic pain to provide release of beta-endorphins.

Cryotherapy: utilized as a local, superficial hypothermal effect on the body. It cools the tissue in the body, thereby, decreasing tissue metabolism and causing vasoconstriction of the blood vessels and there is reduced nerve conduction/analgesia. This is the desired effect for the reduction of swelling and pain.

Moist Heat Therapy: utilized as a local, superficial hyper-thermal effect on the body. It increases the temperature in the body causing vasodilation of the blood vessels. This causes an increase in local circulation and has an analgesic effect on the body, relaxing the tissues and muscular spasm is reduced.

Manual Therapy: based on the nature of your condition, it may be necessary to utilize joint mobilization, myofascial techniques, and/or manual traction to help reduce pain and increase joint range of motion.

Acupuncture

A family of procedures involving stimulation of specific points on the body to relieve discomfort or pain associated with several conditions. Accompanied with chiropractic adjustments, both are excellent complimentary treatments for improving and maintaining your health.

Therapeutic Exercises

When you have progressed past a point in your treatment plan, we can begin to incorporate corrective exercises and stretching recommendations in order to further develop strength, endurance, and flexibility.
